Welcome,
I have never seen hawthorn berries growing so abundantly that they appear to be dripping off the branches. This year’s autumn of plenty has been a joy. I have been making tinctures and syrups from elderberries, hawthorn and now horse chestnuts.
The elderberries will be my winter stock to add to my immune mixes. The hawthorn berries were added to my spring hawthorn flower tincture. This makes a really super- charged heart mix. The horse chestnut tincture will be added to vein creams or soothing lotions. I’m looking forward to the gentle creative winter months.
As well as Mother Nature’s abundance, October is a time to take stock of what we have learned and harvested this year for our personal growth. As the leaves fall from the trees, we can also let go. I ask myself, am I truly ready to let go of what no longer serves me as I go forward into the new year?
I wish you peace and a healing time after the busyness of summer.
Sarah
